These articles were written in the mid-nineties, and though not recent, still have a degree of application. Politicians are still squabbling about whose fault the huge national debt is. When you realize the debt was only $19.5-billion in 1932, and the Democrats had control of the Congress for more than 60 years, and that Roosevelt was the one who instituted the practice of deficit budgeting, the answer is obvious.
