Sustainable Development
Are you aware there is a President's Council
on Sustainable Development? Do you know what sustainable development
means? A recently concluded U.N. Conference on Habitat II laid
the groundwork for some new terms, and also built a by-pass of
our system of government by establishing contact with mayors
of our cities in an effort to reshape our cities to conform with
the world view, the New World Order.
Sustainable development is a term to be applied to the maintenance
of human life in terms of what the earth can support. Others
will make the decisions about how much space we will be entitled
to use. The environmentalists, for which Al Gore is a spokesman,
have drawn computer models which say that the earth can support
only about 1.5 billion people. We currently have about 5.4 billion
people. That means we have about 3.9 billion too many people!
It is not clear exactly how they expect to reduce the world's
population by that many people. Let's look at some "what
ifs".
What if the entire world was saddled with a program like the
one currently in use in China? Couples there are not allowed
to have more than one child. Very often, girl babies are aborted
so there won't be so many potential mothers. Punishment for disobeying
the rule is very severe. How practical would such a rule be in
India, or Africa, or in the wilds of South America? If the rule
was rigidly enforced in North America and Europe, and only passively
enforced in places where there are so many who are still having
children to help with the work around the farm, or the home,
or for sweatshops in some of the newly developed "industrial
nations", how long would it take the less civilized people
to outnumber the more civilized ones?
We are told that controlling the birthrate is the way to reduce
the world's population, but in all reality, it is ludicrous to
even imagine that would do more than just break even with what
we have now.
Another way to reduce the population is to have a new program
by which the older, more infirm; the lame; the feeble-minded;
put to death, rather than wait for them to die. (That is already
being done in the Netherlands!) After all, if there are people
around who are no longer productive, why should the rest of "us"
continue to allow them to use up the resources of the earth?
Hitler had such a program when his Nazis ran things in Germany.
Of course you could just do something else Hitler did; and also
Joseph Stalin. Just kill off undesirables, or possible enemies
of the State, so that the resources of the nation could be more
efficiently used by the "healthy" ones.
Come to think of it, do you suppose Jack Kavorkian came on the
scene for the purpose of conditioning us to the idea of killing
off unproductive people? Oh sure, he says he only wants to help
those who want to die, but how much of a step would it be, after
we got used to that idea, to proceed to the next step of killing
those who don't want to die, but who are for some reason no longer
productive? Again, that is already being done in the Netherlands.
It also is now legal in the state of Oregon!
Of course, we have already been conditioned to believe it is
perfectly alright for a woman to decide she doesn't want to have
a baby, and simply go have it executed...oh, I mean aborted.
And we have managed to murder...uh, abort...about 32 million
unborn babies since 1973. Hey, that's pretty good! Hitler was
only able to murder about 6-million Jews; Stalin was only able
to kill about 20-million Russians. And here we've already killed
about 32-million unborn babies! Oh man! That's really something!
But you know, we really shouldn't kill any of our animals. They
are much too precious to the earth's life cycle! Of course, when
those animals grow up to be full grown, they won't be able to
build any factories, or make any cloth. They won't be able to
make any contributions to science. About the only thing they
are good for is providing food for humans and other animals.
It occurs to me that some people will have a difficult time enforcing
laws that prevent cats from killing and eating rats, lions attacking
and eating gazelles and zebras, sharks from eating fish and whatever
else might be swimming around.
Another item of interest you should be aware of. As a part of
the U.N. Conference on Habitat II (June, 1996), we now have a
wildlands program here in this country. (Did you know about the
Wildlands Act?) Land is being claimed by the government and returned
to its natural state, and will eventually not have any human
habitation in the designated areas. Eventually the plan is to
have between 50 and 75%of our nation inhabited only by animals,
with people not allowed to even enter those areas. The same people
working toward that goal are also talking in terms of doing away
with the dams in the west which have formed Powell Lake in Utah,
Lake Meade, and the lake formed by the Grand Coulee Dam, and
letting the land go back to nature.
Are you aware that Hoover Dam, which holds Lake Meade, was constructed
to provide flood control, hydroelectric power, and water for
irrigation? (All the big government dams have the same purposes;
TVA, MVA, and those out west.) If there was no Hoover Dam, areas
down stream would be flooded every year. The hydroelectric facility
there provides electric power for all of Southern California,
and a large section of Arizona and Nevada. The water used for
irrigation has converted the semi-arid southern part of California
into some of the most productive farmland in the world! Similar
projects further north in California have converted the San Joaquin
Valley into another extremely productive farmland which was once
a semi-arid area which was not good for anything. All of those
man-made lakes have provided something else which was not originally
intended: they are all very popular recreation areas. People
use the lakes for boating and water sports. All of those power
dams have provided a great many new facets of more productive
life than ever imagined.
The electricity generated have enabled rural areas all over
the country to have the benefits of electricity. Dairy farms
have milking machines, all farms have radio communication for
learning more productive methods of producing foods, and information
on the markets where the goods are being sold, electric light
which extends the work day, and provides pumps for indoor plumbing,
which helps improve sanitation in a great many ways. Not only
has that system enabled farmers to become more productive, industries
producing radios, and all forms of electric powered equipment
have become formidable contributors to our overall economy.
And the environmentalists would throw all that away to preserve
the welfare of kangaroo rats, wombats, spotted owls, and a variety
of other creatures. Al Gore has called the automobile the most
dangerous invention in history!
You must understand something. God created all things. There
are certain things which must be consistent. If you think it
"just happened" that our universe is the way it is,
that all the planets in our solar system stay where they are
by accident, even though they are so consistent you can predict
them to a second of time; that our moon rotates exactly in synch
with the earth so that we always see only one side, you just
are not being realistic. The laws of God are constant. Man is
equipped with a power that separates him from other animals -
reason. And because he can reason, he can make choices of the
right thing or the wrong thing to do. Man always creates a bad
situation when he chooses the wrong thing; when he chooses to
violate natural law.
It has been said recently that the 10 Commandments are outdated.
They don't apply in today's world. Well, if you think it is alright
to not show your parents honor and respect; if it is okay to
lie anytime you choose; if it okay to kill the guy who is giving
you a hard time, or kill your spouse when it isn't convenient
for you to be married anymore; if it is okay to covet your neighbor's
spouse, or even take steps to take what your neighbor has; then
you shouldn't mind if some thugs come along and beat you, and
rob your house, maybe even rape your wife and daughters, even
kill them, or kidnap them, or testify they saw you committing
a bank robbery, or doing some other crime. That's what it is,
my friend.
If you don't want to care about your neighbor, you should be
highly offended to see the government take your tax dollars and
blow them in on a bunch of lawless, half-civilized people around
the world. Who do you suppose goes to those people and tries
to help them realize what it is like to live in peace? People
from churches who are out evangelizing! And the people who prosper
are those who heed the lessons of those evangelists! Only to
be robbed and pillaged by those who do not honor the Commandments.
The inconsistencies of the so-called philosophy of today are
so obvious as to be laughable, only those people are serious.
They are intently serious about changing this world into a huge
"New Harmony" type collective, with spiritualism and
earth worship. The idea of a "Utopia" was expressed
hundreds of years ago, and there have been innumerable experiments
in communal living since. None of those experiments worked!
We are privileged to live in the greatest nation in the history
of the world. We have this great, bountiful country through the
grace of God. People have come from every country in the world
to live here, and become citizens. Those who were honest in their
desire to become naturalized citizens have been among our greatest
achievers. Here we have the freedom to do whatever our talent
and ambition will allow us to do. We have the most perfect form
of government ever devised by man!
Yet we are sitting idly by while those who would put us all
back into Medieval times are quietly taking over our beautiful
country! We have allowed our public school system to be devastated;
we have allowed our religious freedom to be curtailed while godless
men tell us the Ten Commandments are no longer applicable; we
have allowed our government to put whole decades of people into
a sump hole called welfare. The worst part is that no one seems
to care if we lose it all!
In the Declaration of Independence, we find the idea of our
republic based on natural law - God's law - and we have had certain
rights bestowed upon us by our Creator. There is no mention that
judges, or the government, or any human has the power to bestow
any rights on anyone. Indeed, in the Declaration we find the
concept that government derives its just powers from the consent
of the governed...the people! We are seeing judges in our federal
courts presuming to interpret "rights" in the Constitution
which are nonexistent! An idle Congress has the power to regulate
what the courts can do. If the members of Congress continue to
do nothing, we will be more and more at the mercy of the courts.
We will be ruled by as few as 5 people, none of whom are elected,
and none of whom have to answer to anyone!
There was a time in our history when the courts took away our
legal recourse to law. When that happened, we chose to go to
war to win our independence from a tyrannical king and Parliament.
With God's help, we won that war. Again, if we show ourselves
to be determined to have the law of God as the basis for our
system of justice, we will prevail. Then, woe to those who have
perverted our beautiful country, and our system of government!
