The Politics of Lying

A lot of the Social-Democrats are complaining these days about the absence of Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq. Aside from the fact our troops have found barrels of a suspicious substance, and semi-trailers which appear to fit the description of mobile biological warfare labs Colin Powell described before the war, plus rockets tipped with poison gas substance, there have been more than one mass grave uncovered revealing the bodies of people Saddam had murdered, including women and children, with evidence some of the victims weren't dead when they were buried. We already knew Saddam killed thousands of his people with poison gas when they tried to rebel against his dictatorial practices, and these graves were discovered since the war, offer proof that there had been weapons of mass destruction. Most likely, thanks to our "loyal French friends", Saddam was fore-warned that President Bush wasn't kidding around, and to get rid of his WMD beforehand. Thanks to the other "guiltless" neighbor, Syria, a lot of the hierarchy of Saddam's government found refuge there, or went on to Europe using French-issued passports. It isn't beyond the realm of possibility that Syria also harbored the weapons of mass destruction for later use.
I won't defend President Bush, but if you want some prime examples of lying politicians, look back to the previous 8 years and you will find masters of the politics of lying. The Clintons,, Al Gore, and others wrote several chapters!
• The Clintons claimed to have been too poor to ever buy a home before they came to Washington. Now they have three mansions in various places worth more than a million dollars each.
• "I did not have sex with that woman!" So? Everybody does it! Only Clinton was under oath, testifying in a federal court! That's perjury - a felony!
• All of those Democrat senators who said beforehand that Clinton had broken the law with his lies about Lewinsky, then voted to acquit him in when he was imeached!

• Clinton, when he ordered air raids on Serbia because Milosevich had been guilty of mass murders in Bosnia, when they never found any evidence of such. How many innocent people do you suppose he had killed in those illegal raids?
• The lies he told about sending guided missiles to bomb an aspirin factory, and an empty terrorist training camp in Afghanistan.
• The lies he told about political contributions he got from his Chinese friends and the Riadis.
• Al Gore's lies about the Buddhist temple contributions he got.
• Al Gore's lies about having invented the internet.
• Hillary's lies about the "Health-care committee" she chaired with Ira Magaziner.
• The lies they told about the staff in the Travel Office to get them out so they could put their cronies in.
• Hillary's lies about her "success" at playing the stock market.
• Clinton's lies about the nuclear reactors he "gave" to North Korea.
• The untruths about Vince Foster's death
The whole tissue of Clinton's administration was fraught with lies. So don't get yourselves in a frenzy about Bush's "lies". You had better start thinking in terms of getting ourselves back to the principles contained in our Constitution.
